In 2026, fifteen years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami struck Japan’s eastern coastline on March 11, 2011.

We are proud to present this photobook, documenting various forms of disaster mitigation infrastructure—such as sea walls, floodgates, breakwaters, and other protective measures—across the Sendai and Tohoku regions.
